We're going over two really high percentage sub-positions of side mount that make it easier to hold down an opponent who is a) jiu-jitsu educated and patient or b) jiu-jitsu stupid and flailing.
From the first of those positions, we're going to hit the four most conservative, low risk BJJ submissions available from side control. When I say conservative, I mean you don't have to move much or give up your side mount to get the tap. This rules out same side or far side armbars. Also, all of these can be done gi or no gi.
We'll wrap that up with some 100% resistance drills to make sure that:
1) You remember everything we covered...
2) You can do everything we covered, and...
3) You can do everything we covered against someone bigger who doesn't want that to happen.
That's what we're doing over here at Macarra BJJ Norwich. For more info, head to ABDCT.com. See you this week!
