Even as brown belts with 36 years of jiu-jitsu training between us, we were still looking for tight, clean basics. That's music to Marcio's ears, so we worked on a kimura set-up from his "side mount #1", along with a number of "what if" situations, like:
1) What if he grabs his belt?
2) What if he grabs his pants?
3) What if he turns into you?
Marcio finished the class (at my request) by showing Rick his secret, crushing mount variation that makes everyone tap.
Marcio's leaving for Rio De Janeiro for three weeks and teaching a seminar at Jose Henrique Leao Teixeira's school. We're looking forward to training with him again when he gets back.
